Whether you’re a homeowner with trees on your property, a landscape architect designing a new urban streetscape or public open space for a client, or you are part of a Local Council team that manages its parks & gardens and/or property maintenance, there are a number of reasons why you may need to contact an arborist from time to time. At the Arbor Centre, we offer our clients a wide range of services and assist people in making good decisions about trees. With our advisory and practical skills, we consistently deliver great outcomes, and that’s what sets Arbor Centre arborists apart from other tree surgeons.

In this article, we are looking at three popular scenarios where you might need to contact an arborist

1. You need to relocate a tree on your property.

Trees are an important part of the environment, and they often provide a great deal of benefits to a property. Unfortunately, sometimes a tree might be located in a less-than-ideal spot and can become a problem to your home. Maybe you’ve decided to extend your home and the tree is located right where you want your new living room, or maybe it’s located too close to sewerage, and the roots are beginning to get in the way. By contacting the Arbor Centre and speaking with our experienced team, we may be able to assess the tree/s and the feasibility of being relocated within your property or into a completely different property so that you can continue to receive its benefits.

If you have a mature tree on your property that needs to be moved but you don’t have an appropriate space to keep it, the Arbor Centre may also be able to help you by salvaging the tree and giving it a new home.

If you’re unsure about the best way to proceed, get in touch with our team and we will be able to go through your options and assist you in deciding on the best course of action.

2. You need to purchase a tree or trees.

At the Arbor Centre we work with our clients to source a variety of trees for different projects across the Perth metropolitan area. When purchasing a tree through the Arbor Centre we have three sizes of trees available to suit every budget. These are:

  • Bagged Tree Services – This service offers a range of competitively priced trees that are available for selection, delivery and planting/installing. Bagged Trees are the ideal solution for residential clients, estate developers, landscape architects and other contractors who may have a smaller budget but still seek a quality installation service.
  • Tree Farm: Semi-Mature Trees – If you’re looking for bigger trees for your property but at an affordable price, then the semi-mature tree farm trees might be for you. These trees are carefully nurtured in-ground, field-grown trees and are typically sold while they’re still a small to medium size. The Arbor Centre can assist you with all aspects of tree supply and installation.
  • Large-Scale Mature Transplants – Sometimes you require the perfect tree and don’t want to wait many years for it to grow to maturity. This is where our large-scale mature transplants are best suited. The Arbor Centre have sourced a wide range of mature trees and trees of interest specifically for this transplant service.

3. You have safety concerns and require tree pruning.

Tree pruning relating to safety concerns is something that can affect both our private and commercial clients. Sometimes trees have been planted too close to main roads, too close to power lines or even in a place that disrupts the general safety of a home. If this is the case at your own property, or a property or space you manage, then it is important to contact an arborist to assess the situation. Our Green Surgery Division at the Arbor Centre can talk to you about your pruning needs, or concerns around the safety, health or structure of trees on your property, place of work or building/development site. The team will be able to assess the tree/s in question and come up with a robust and efficient plan to ensure they can be managed and remain healthy moving forward.
