“The Changing Face of Resilience in the Landscape – Confident Legacy Planning”

ArchiTech Connect is a series of presentations, Q & A, Networking events, designed to engage with Landscape Architects from across WA. The Arbor Centre initiated this back in 2018 as part of its long standing support of the WA chapter of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects. Each session has been very well attended in the past and guest speakers have added to the breadth of topics covered.

The series took a break during the pandemic, but we’re back! At last!

Hear about facilitating confident green legacy

Our Guest Presenter Sue McDougall needs little introduction; she’s the current Director of the Western Australian Botanic Garden and is well-known across Perth for sharing her gardening expertise in print, radio and TV. Sue brings more than 35 years of horticultural experience to her current role at Kings Park.

During this session, we will explore some of the current and emerging dynamics in project planning to facilitate confident ‘green’ legacy. We’ll hear how to better integrate good long-term Tree and Horticulture outcomes into early concepts, discover the increasing significance of bio-security, and gain more insights into the optimisation of below ground soil/spaces, tree selection and tree retention during early planning stages.

As ever, there’s an opportunity to put your questions to a panel of experts and then enjoy some networking and refreshments to round off the session.

If you’d like to attend but you’re not a WAILA Member, please get in touch with our Sales team on 9359 9300 and we can help secure your ticket for the event. Alternatively, please complete our enquiry form today.
